Join Robin, Hilary, and Klaus for Elements of Magic, a weekend intensive October 3rd and 4th at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco.
With the art of magic, we deepen our vision and focus our will, empowering ourselves to act in the world. In this class we begin the practice of magic, witchcraft, and Goddess/Goddex/Earth-based spirituality by working with the Elements of Magic: Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit.
Elements of Magic is the first of the core classes for the Reclaiming Tradition of Witchcraft and Magic. Journeying together through earth, air, fire, water and spirit, we will work with the tools of trance, movement, sound, silence, divination and more. We hold the intent that this work will help us to build and deepen our relationships with the five sacred elements of life as we open to the deep magic of the elements and listen to what they have to teach us.
Along with forging a relationship with the elements, this weekend immersive workshop will provide the opportunity to explore and practice core, foundational magical skills and ritual working.
Elemental work is fundamental, and also endlessly fascinating and illuminating magical work. No matter how little or much experience we have with them, there are always new, powerful and subtle mysteries to discover and explore. We welcome all participants to this class, whether you are new to witchcraft and looking to explore a new path, or an experienced practitioner intending to reconnect with or deepen your own work.

Costs & Sign-Up
This class is being offered on a sliding scale of $50 - 300 USD. What this means is the tuition for this class is $200 USD, but if you are able to pay more, this allows others who might not otherwise be able to access this class to pay less. Teachers will contact you for payment and deposit.

Robin (she/her) is a theatre artist, singer, and choir director with a passion for tarot, myth, fairy tales & magic, and can be heard on the Reclaiming cd's Second Chants, Let It Begin Now, and the Moonrise cd Songs of Love, Magic, & Other Mysteries. Robin teaches core classes with Reclaiming in the SF/Bay Area, as well as classes in tarot, music, acting, aspecting, and anchoring, & taught at Reclaiming witchcamps/intensives in Vermont, the Midwest, and the Mid-Atlantic area. Robin also was one of the founders of the Fools Journey annual restorative. She works in Arts Administration in the Bay Area.
Hilary (she/they) is a Bay Area witch based on Chochenyo Ohlone land otherwise known as Berkeley. Hilary is an artist, a teacher, and a story gatherer. Their magical practices have grounding in herbalism and plant magic, dance and movement, and performance. She works to weave the deep, complex magic of relationship, with ourselves, community, the wider world, and the divine. Hilary is committed to learning and making mistakes as they work to dismantle systems of oppression.
Hilary had the great gift of being raised both in the Pagan Interest Circle (PICT) at UUSF and the Bay Area Reclaiming community. She grew up falling asleep under the altars at PICT moon rituals and fell in love with community magic when she attended her first witchcamp, Witchlets in the Woods, at the age of 7. Hilary has taught local core classes in the Bay Area and the following Reclaiming witchcamps: BC Witchcamp, Teen Earth Magic, Witchlets in the Woods, and Redwood Magic. They believe in the depth and power of intergenerational magic. She is a co-conspirator of little witches making rituals in streambeds and magic mud pies.
Klaus (he/him) is a queer man, poet, and witch. He attended his first Reclaiming ritual 11 years ago and immediately fell in love with Reclaiming tradition and community. His practice centers devotional arts, song, folk magic, beauty-making, and beauty-finding. He lives on and works magic with Chochenyo Ohlone land in so-called Oakland.
