We are honoured to continue our work in the Reclaiming tradition. Our service is to tend continuity through a cycle of seven annual community-led public rituals in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Get Involved
The SF Ritual Planning Cell is a welcoming and supportive community project that is maintained by each person's unique contributions. This is a place to grow, build skills, mentor or be mentored, celebrate and do magic in a safe container.

The planning of these public rituals is open to community members; you are encouraged to get involved. If you would like to be called for regular roles, but less than these multi-year commitments, do know your participation is nonetheless inestimable.

Cell Participation
Shared values held in recent years were articulated thus:

To join the cell we ask that you
  • Take Reclaiming’s Elements of Magic class
  • Participate in the local community, visibly attending SF RPC public rituals, at least in part, for a year and a day, and offer to take ritual roles and help with whatever is needed

During a first year on, membership is provisional. We ask that you
  • Maintain contact with your current cell-member mentor/contact
  • Participate fully in ritual planning, at the ritual itself, and in a ritual feedback meeting
  • Lend your voice to discussion, and be willing to stand aside in decisions where your vision does not coincide with other cell members

To maintain cell membership, we ask that you
  • Attend the two half-yearly RPC Retreats, currently on weekend afternoons
  • Plan at least 3 rituals per year, each including
  1. Initial planning meeting: Planning ritual, role assignments, logistics, venue support, intention, magic tending
  2. Ritual: Participate in pre-ritual circle and support the ritual to the best of your ability, which could include: welcoming people, ritual roles, fire tending (at certain rituals), social media/outreach, carrying and transporting materials, Beltane ribbons, artwork in service to the ritual
  3. Feedback//Feedforward Dinner

Cell stability appreciates an intent to join these rhythms for 2-3 years and to be willing to represent the cell throughout the year, including service on the Wheel. Members also hold banking, outreach, social media, GG Park reservations, insurance, ritual objects storage and care, and so much more. Thank you for your ongoing participation!
